How do children learn best?
Is it all about information?

At FBCWR’s Promised Land, we provide biblical content and loving role models which allow children to learn to know Christ and use the gifts which God has given each child to serve others.

What are the goals of The Promised Land?

Our goals are God’s goals for all of His children and are derived from His Word:
* “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man (child) and teaching every man (child) with all wisdom, so that we may present every man (child) complete in Christ (Colossians 1:28).
* “Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith (Hebrews 13:7).

We Proclaim and Teach children to:
* Receive Christ as Savior. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ (The Gift of the Father).
* Know God’s Son Jesus Christ as Life. Tapping into His love and joy and knowing our union and identity in Him.
* Learn to live in the Power of the Holy Spirit.
* Love and serve the Body of Christ (the Church) through the gifts God has given them.

We believe love for the Lord is taught but is also “caught”. Role models are crucial in the spiritual development of children.

Family Worship/Bible Study Modeling:
We encourage children to join with our body of believers as we praise and worship God at the start of each Sunday service. We believe this models heart devotion to God as well as following Christ’s Word to “bring the children to Me”. Each week the children have their own Bible lesson in the Promised Land while the adults listen to the sermon. Our goal is to provide opportunities for children to serve the entire body of Christ through meals, hospitality and other service projects.

Adult/Older Children Role Models:
Our teachers are required to know Christ as their Savior and must be committed to following Him. They have the privilege to lead the children one Sunday each month. We instill in all of our teachers, and also older children and teenagers the importance of loving and leading the younger children.

Many children in our Promised Land Learning Center thrive on the individual attention and instruction of adults and older children and teenagers. Your child will experience the love and presence of God through others.

*We have a "cry room/nursing room" where mothers with young babies can get some privacy and still hear and view the service.
